Smino
Cal Coast Credit Union
Smino brought his distinctive blend of sharp lyricism, soulful R&B, and inventive rap to the stage as the opening act for Erykah Badu. The St. Louis-born artist is also the founder of Zero Fatigue, the independent musical collective and record label he established in 2014, which has become a creative home for artists including Monte Booker, Ravyn Lenae, JayBaby TheGreaty, and NOS. Throughout his set, Smino performed fan favorites such as “Netflix & Dusse,” “No Ls,” and “Wild Irish Roses,” highlighting the clever wordplay and charismatic delivery that have become hallmarks of his music. He brought the performance to a close with “90 Proof,” his collaboration with J. Cole, marking a memorable end to his opening set.
