Modest Mouse

The Sound Del Mar

Modest Mouse brought their distinctive indie-rock sound to the stage while touring in support of their new album An Eraser and a Maze. Their performance featured a layered mix of guitars, banjos, and other instrumental textures, paired with colorful lighting that brought beautiful visuals to complement the music. Songs like “Bukowski,” “Dramamine,” and “Ocean Breathes Salty” added familiar moments to the performance. Interestingly, Modest Mouse left “Float On” off the setlist, but surprised fans with “Dogbed in Heaven / Give it a Skeleton.” Performing this track from their new album An Eraser and a Maze during the encore kept the focus on their new material and gave the night a memorable closing moment.
